Esteemed guests at the Swiss Two-Day March in Bern and the Remonte March in their home country.
Dear comrades
Everything has an end, and just as I announced at my 2nd election as march leader of the Swiss Two-Day March at the general meeting on December 6, 2022, I am stepping down as march leader.
With a laughing and a crying eye, as they say, I am leaving the marching committee as I have found a young successor in the person of Stabsadj Frei Peter. He had the courage to make himself available as march leader after a difficult time and to take on responsibility. I wish him every success and enjoyment in his new role.
I’m leaving with a smile on my face, as I’m sure 95% of our guests in Bern have returned home satisfied.
Thank you for your loyalty and participation in our Swiss two-day march. I hope that the marching committee will be able to welcome you again here in Bern or at the Remote March and, as I am still responsible for the marching routes, I look forward to seeing you at the new start and finish point at the military barracks in Bern on the June 1 and 2, June 2, 2024 at the Swiss Two-Day March.
We would also like to thank the authorities of the canton and city of Berne in the person of our district commander Mr. Dällenbach Max and our army represented by Div Tüscher and Colonel Hämmerli for their support. Without you, implementation would not be possible at present
Many thanks to everyone who made the Swiss Two-Day March 2023 possible and supported it with their active participation or as an official.
